Curious to know what it’s been like to scale two businesses at once? Listen to our latest video to find out!

What surprised me about scaling two businesses at one time is that in reality they actually informed and strengthened each other. So on one side, we run shift Digital where we partner with large national and global companies on marketing campaigns, websites, and mobile applications. And on the other side, we run a SAS product called My Community site, which is a website solution and document management system that’s focused on condos and HOAs. And at first glance, they seem like Two completely separate worlds, enterprise marketing versus community association operations. But what I didn’t expect was how much overlap there would be foundationally. Both businesses are rooted in technology. Both require building solutions that make complex things feel very simple for the end user.

Clients in one business often gain comfort and confidence from the work that we’re doing in the other, which has really helped. Both businesses scale since we started shift in my community site back in 2019. So while the subject matter and the target audiences are very different, the fundamentals of trust, clarity, tech enabled solutions are universal, and scaling both at the same time has actually created way more opportunities than challenges over the years.
