Case Study: Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship – Website Design
Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship
Complete Website Redesign Elevates Online User Experience
shyft integrates two existing brand websites to achieve next-level cohesion and functionality
When the Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship was in need of a website overhaul, they turned to the NJ Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) to find a trusted partner. As an organization focused on empowering women to invest in themselves through entrepreneurship, a well-designed and functional website is key to providing the necessary resources to successfully start, own, operate, and grow a business.
After showcasing our expertise and experience through the bidding process, shyft was awarded and tasked with creating a whole site, which would bring together various elements from the organization’s two existing sites into one — without the outdated design and difficult functionality.
As a result of poor integration between the existing sites, the user experience was far from satisfactory, presenting little visual interest and complicated navigation. With a majority of content living on one site but class registration on the other, lacking a seamless integration between someone looking for more information and actually signing up.
Driven by the goal of providing a cohesive online experience, shyft created a new site that is much more visually engaging, using the organization’s brand colors to highlight various sections of the site with strategic intention. Various components, such as class schedules, counseling opportunities, and client success stories now prompt more meaningful interactions from users, while simple navigation and a mobile-friendly design make it easier than ever to take advantage of all the site and the organization has to offer.
