Case Study: The Friends of CJC – Website Design
The Friends of CJC
Website Redesign Brings New Light to Non-Profits Important Mission
shyft delivers quickly and optimally to deliver simplified functionality, enhanced user experience, and easier maintenance to new site
As part of its powerful mission to raise awareness of child maltreatment and drive real change through prevention, The Friends of the Children’s Justice Center Summit County knew an online presence was key to great outreach. Unfortunately, their existing site was providing the bare minimum in terms of functionality and messaging, so they put out an RFP for a major upgrade. Feeling passionately about their cause and confident in our ability to achieve all their website goals, shyft threw our hat in the ring.
As soon as shyft was awarded the project, it was straight to work! Phase one of the partnership was a very quick turnaround of urgent updates to the organization’s existing site, so they could keep their fundraising and marketing efforts moving forward while a brand new site was being built.
Phase two was much more complex — but right up shyft’s alley. The new site had to deliver an updated look and feel that aligned with their evolved branding, as well as cleaner messaging to educate their target audiences on the work they do and who they do it for. They also wanted an improved user experience and simpler navigation to make getting involved and donating to their efforts a lot easier for everyone in the community. Finally, it’s extremely common for their needs to change and new opportunities to join their mission to arise, the ability to make updates and changes often and easily was another must-have. shyft designed the site to make modifications to news/events, photos, community resources, etc. simple and straightforward for any member in the organization.
The new site is a perfect reflection of the impact The Friends of CJC has had on the entire Summit community and the efforts they continue to make to drive progress and hope. shyft was grateful for the opportunity to be just one of many meaningful partnerships the organization has built and to play our own small part in their inspiring work.
