When Hurricane Ian hit down in Florida, a lot of associations got destroyed by the hurricane. And with that came their offices being destroyed,

being flooded, power being out, and the regular operations and administration of communicating with members became really challenging. It was also mid -September, so a lot of these folks who are snowbirds were not down yet at their property.

So they needed to have information about what was going on with their unit, but they didn’t have a way to be communicated to from the association members. We had one association that had recently signed up with us,

had gotten their site up and running, and because you can access the website through the internet, that was still working. The association was able to still communicate with their members to let them know what was going on.

The phone lines might not have been working. They might not have been able to walk into the office and turn on their computers. However, utilizing the website as a communication tool to post banners or information or kind of letting people know status was actually a really important,

not only safety consideration, but it was also just a main avenue for communication during that time.
